How to play Civil War Beer Pong by Richard Von Dutch
Civil War is a variation of the popular drinking sport Beer Pong. This article assumes you already know how to play beer pong.
In Civil War each team has 3 players. You have to play on a wider surface, at least 3.5 feet wide. Each player on each team has 6 cups in front of them in a pyramid formation. The game has the same goal as beer pong - you want to sink all of your opposing team's cups, but the rules are a little different.
The ball is always live in Civil War. This means that you don't have to wait your turn or anything to shoot. You simply shoot as soon as a ball comes to you. If all 6 of your cups are sunk then you can't shoot any more but you can still help your team by retreiving lost balls and getting them to your active players. You cannot cross the middle of the table with any part of your body to retreive a ball.
If you don't like the chaos of free turns then you can simply assign each player a "partner" on the other team. When your partner hits a cup, any cup, you have to drink one of your cups. Then the teams just take turn shooting, but instead of having 2 shots like in a normal game you have 3 because you have 3 players on your team.
Richard is a regular beer pong player. If you are traveling soon you might want to consider cheap flights to cozumel, it is a great place for vacation!
